Wishes

I wish I were traveling. Or at least planning a trip. Or just knowing traveling was a possibility.

But 2020 keeps on giving. The fires up north and all around, ravaging the forests and affecting many lives, as they haven’t been affected enough already, are a reminder that we need to be ready to leave, and that we have to hope that we won’t this year. The smoke has reached us, making the air polluted, taking away my morning runs as I don’t want to tempt the devil in COVID times.

And the reckless leadership of this and other countries. I wish and hope for change. VOTE!

Like everyone else, I’m tired. Besides the discomfort, I’m a bit numb, caught in he new (good) routine we have created. It is hard to get to the studio. Might be all the cooking, and the extra work load, and the remote schooling, and the added efforts to remain healthy.

I would like to get to write a blog post per day. A little one. A random thought. Anything to boost my mind and my mood. And maybe even yours. I will try.

I am amazed at my daughter’s resilience and her graceful (most of the time) approach to today’s way. One of her friends had a birthday, and she gave her a little gift every day during the birthday month, some she made, some she bought. Then another …

I am amazed at my daughter’s resilience and her graceful (most of the time) approach to today’s way. One of her friends had a birthday, and she gave her a little gift every day during the birthday month, some she made, some she bought. Then another friend had a birthday, and she got to the task of making her some PJ pants (my gratitude to her sewing teacher is endless!).

I wish we all had her enthusiasm for life. Maybe we do and we just forgot.
